The ILNAS

The Luxembourg Institute of Standardisation, Accreditation, Safety and Quality of Products and Services is a public administration under the authority of the Minister of the Economy.

In particular, it is in charge of the standardisation and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, market supervision (non-food products), general product safety monitoring, supervising trust service providers (e.g.: electronic signature) and Dematerialisation or Custody service providers, the implementation of a national metrology infrastructure and the enforcement of legislation on legal metrology, the designation of notified bodies, verification of good laboratory practice and notification to the European Commission and the other Member States of the European Union of any draft standard, as well as any other draft normative document before these are adopted in national law..
